Featured Photographer - Donna Van Vlack

Today's featured artist is photographer Donna Van Vlack.

Donna Van Vlack was born in California but has spent most of her life in Tucson, Arizona. She is a self-taught photographer with a naturalist style. Now that her children are grown, she and her husband Scott are embracing the things they are most passionate about, such as traveling, hunting and the outdoors. She spends a lot of time volunteering to preserve her hunting heritage and outdoor way of life.
Snowy Aspen Grove
Donna is an avid hunter, whose inspiration and passion comes from her love for her husband and her love of hunting and the outdoors.   She uses photography as a means of self-expression.  She takes photographs for herself, which helps her better see the world around her.

Like Donna's life, her photography has been a path of growth and change. She picked up her first camera after she started hunting and that’s really when her passion for photography began. She fell in love with the idea of being able to capture exactly what she saw and create a visual memory for her family and friends that would be treasured for a lifetime.
